WHAT SITE SYNC DOES
Your feed, saved on your website.
Site Sync prepares your display between visits and delivers it to a receiver on your own hosting.
No live feed request on page load.
Once a delivery is confirmed, your hosting serves the saved posts, images and display files from your website's own address. Showing them does not contact OwnFeed or Instagram.

Where your platform renders pages on the server, the saved captions and post links are part of the page your hosting sends, instead of arriving later from a script.
These describe how delivery works, not a measured result. We have not measured page speed, Core Web Vitals or search effects, and Site Sync does not promise them.

If an update fails, the last successful copy stays. A temporary OwnFeed or Instagram outage does not stop your hosting from serving that saved copy while its licence is current (up to 21 days after the last successful update).

- 1 Instagram account and 1 feed An Instagram account is the source of your posts. A feed is the reusable collection OwnFeed prepares from that account. Multiple saved displays can share a feed without using another account slot.
- 1 saved display A saved display stores a layout and its settings, such as colours and post count. For example, you can use one design on your homepage and another in your footer. Saving a draft does not change the published version.
- Quick setup embed and JSON feed Add your published display to a website with the Quick setup embed, or read its JSON feed from your own code. OwnFeed serves the display and images when a visitor loads the page, so nothing is installed on your hosting. Available on every plan.
- Automatic updates weekly The fastest automatic Instagram check included in your plan: weekly on Free or every 15 minutes on Pro. Hosted embeds and JSON show the latest successful check. With Pro, OwnFeed then sends changed content to connected Site Sync websites; source and delivery settings remain separate, and matching schedules deliver after a successful source check. Updates depend on successful checks and delivery.
- Latest 6 posts · 400px images Display up to the latest six posts per feed, using optimized 400-pixel-wide images. Video and Reel posts use thumbnails, and Instagram carousel posts use cover images. This is a current feed, not a permanent archive.
- Grid and compact strip layouts Free includes Clean grid for a gallery and Compact strip for a narrow row of posts. You can preview the other layouts with your own available posts before upgrading to publish them.
- Basic colours and spacing · hide individual posts Change your display colours and the space between posts. You can also hide individual posts from your website without deleting them from Instagram. More advanced display settings can be previewed on Free and published with Pro.
- Small OwnFeed attribution Free displays show a small ‘Instagram feed by OwnFeed’ attribution. Pro removes that attribution from OwnFeed-generated displays, including hosted widgets and newly delivered Site Sync copies.

- All six layouts and full design controls Pro includes grid, caption cards, compact strip, carousel, masonry and featured-post layouts. Customize columns by screen size, image crop, corners, captions, dates and media types, as well as colours and spacing.
- Pin, reorder and filter posts by keyword or hashtag Pin selected posts first, arrange their order, and include or exclude posts by words or hashtags in their captions. Filters use the posts already available in your feed. Hidden posts stay hidden, and pins do not preserve posts that age out of the source.
- 3 Instagram accounts and 3 feeds An Instagram account is the source of your posts. A feed is the reusable collection OwnFeed prepares from that account. Multiple saved displays can share a feed without using another account slot.
- 12 saved displays A saved display stores a layout and its settings, such as colours and post count. For example, you can use one design on your homepage and another in your footer. Saving a draft does not change the published version.
- 3 Site Sync destinations A Site Sync destination is one connected receiver on your hosting. OwnFeed delivers posts, images and display files there, so your website serves the saved copy. Receivers for Cloudflare, WordPress, PHP hosting and Git-deployed sites are in release testing and are enabled platform by platform. Your hosting and its charges are separate. Site Sync is included with Pro because each receiver needs ongoing platform support. Existing Free accounts keep the one destination they already had.
